Measles. Lots of potential side effects.
Mumps: you haven't lived till you see a 23 yr old man get mumps and it doesn't hang out in the neck lymph nodes, but instead migrates to more tender regions.
Polio: friends of mine as kids wore the Forrest Gump leg braces because of polio. Remember people...
I dunno ... when I towed without using the TCC lock, I overheated like crazy. Keep in mind that's in the hills, or in big winds, and it gets crazy hot up here, too. As soon as I got the TCC lock mod done, I noticed an instant difference in my towing. I overheated FAR less, and the truck could...
Thanks, WW... Got a question though... I had my TCC lock mod for 3 years and a ton of miles pulling 10k 5er around through those little Rockies. I used it for compression braking through all that, a lot. Never saw a code either.
I was under the impression there was a difference between OBD1...
I hate you. All of you. 35Mb?
I'm lucky to get 5 mbps down and 0.9 up. I can get about 15 on 3g wireless, but it's crazy expensive and my plan only has 2gb. When I'm out on site I eat that up fast.
I had a 94 with a GM4 that would drag you all over the yard backwards... Simple stuff: Air in, exhaust out, Heath Chip, Turbomaster (some home-made ones just don't work that good, sorry guys, no offense, but they don't.), Tuning (timing) the IP is critical. If it doesn't work after that, THEN...
It's great for deceleration (engine braking), and for keeping your engine temps down while pulling. I'd be pretty careful doing WOT shifts, though; it isn't all that hard to split the shafts with everything locked up direct.
You might also try to contact BJ (Great White) ... he was tuning 6.5L OBD2, and knew lots about that. I haven't spoken with him or with Dennis in a long time.
You gotta remember, your (stock) ECM still thinks it has a GM-8 turbo (which it doesn't) and that it has vacuum control of the Westgate (which it hasn't). All the MAP is gonna do in your situation is stop your ECM from 'seeing' an overboost situation and defueling. You aren't getting to that...
Changing the MAP resistor doesn't change your boost. it changes how much boost your ECM 'sees', by altering the input scale.
With stock setups, that changes how the ECM will defuel things if the combined boost seems too high.
You aren't supposed to do the Evil Knievel thing in front of the kids, Simon. Now you're gonna have trouble convincing them to 'drive safe, like Dad does'.
:D Glad you're ok, pal.
Cold weather starting is a normal thing up here.
--Block heaters: normally 600w, can get up to 1000w. I had one of each; depending on ambient temps and length of warm up time needed, I could then use 600w, 1000w, or 1600w.
--Circulating coolant heaters. Most big equipment uses these. Come in...
