How to tell If hydro boost is working?

No,on the power steering pump. I didn't know hydroboost vehicles had this ?

Bring it on! Att vs. Hx35

The small precups are not a handicap . Power and torque under 10 psi boost is probably doubled, compared to diamonds.

    Injector Nozzles

Opening up the orifice size on a 6.5 injector, will cause less pintle lift. Same goes for upping pop psi. Almost all of the nozzles I drilled, leaked, but if the ones that didn't leak, had more chatter, and a nice spray pattern. Even one thousandths bigger completly changes the way the nozzle...

Banks sidewinder exhaust manifold group buy.

If you intend to run the motor with the oil cooler ports plugged, you must also remove a cup plug ,located under the oil filter. It looked like you had the cooler ports plugged, might just be angle fittings ?

Banks sidewinder exhaust manifold group buy.

I assume you removed the oil plug under the filter, since the cooler ports are plugged.

    Turbo 350 lock up?

Could be the governor sticking. A none working modulator will still allow upshifts, but later, like 4000 rpms. I never connect any of my th350 kickdown cables.

Running Too Much Boost, And Blew A Head Gasket.

I still don't know why I bent so many rods. I figured it might be the turbo,so it's just a 54 mm now, instead of 64 mm. The combination of a HX52,and a maxed out stock pump, with no governor, bent the rods every time, but one. That time it spun the mains instead. Cyl psi was so high it pushed the...

Running Too Much Boost, And Blew A Head Gasket.

I tried copper head gaskets, with an oringed block. They leaked compression into the coolant, pretty much right away. I'm currently running Felpro gaskets with flipped fire rings, and all four corner coolant ports blocked of with PC7 epoxy. They lasted one year, and it's getting compression in the...

    Delta 202 cam no good?

I had a cam ground locally ,but it had some overlap that caused a major drive-ability problem. It had tremendous spoolup power, but the engine would run off of it's own exhaust, and clatter like crazy,it didn't matter were I set the injection timing.

    Reverse Hybrid Hx 35/40

I have a 60 mm ,and the matching cover. Might try it sometime. It don't smoke if I'm driving part throttle, and has good power @ 0 boost. I'm running the small precups, which give the most power and torque under the turbo.

    Reverse Hybrid Hx 35/40

I didn't check drive psi. It smokes a lot even after its lit at 2000 rpms, but just slight black haze 3000 rpms and up. The ip has my favorite cam ring, a 4500 rpm gov spring ,and custom retard cam. It still has stock charge psi, which is probably only 80 psi at full fuel.

    Reverse Hybrid Hx 35/40

Its not wild, but runs way better than it did with the H1C,which had the same size inducer compressor. I tried 12/16 and 18cm housings on the H1C and none of them changed power in 3-4 k range.

    Reverse Hybrid Hx 35/40

I'm using small block Chevy flywheel and a Hays kevlar clutch. Just need to swap the ring gear and weld the weight on. The flywheel is steel ,not cast iron. Played with the pump a little, and had the engine run wild for me about 4 or 5 k,untill I got it shut of with a board. The turbo has...

    Reverse Hybrid Hx 35/40

Its holding up better than the 4l80-e,which broke an input shaft, shifting with tcc locked. I'll probably build one of my other engines ,and swap it sometime. Probably wait until the head gaskets blow for real, only warning signs now. The block is pitted at the fire ring which has made this...

    Reverse Hybrid Hx 35/40

Its in the Tahoe , a 6.2 L , my signature needs updated. This vehicle has seen a lot of engines ,and the current one has a lot of blow by,and a slight head gasket leak. It is also converted to a 5spd nv3500.

    Reverse Hybrid Hx 35/40

The smaller inducer compressor lets the turbine flow better/turn easier . Same idea as the Banks and ATT turbos.

    Reverse Hybrid Hx 35/40

I home built a HX 35/40 . It has the 54/78 mm 7 blade compressor and 76/64 10 blade turbine in a 18 cm housing . It wont light under 2000 rpms, and so far max boost of 23 psi with waste gate disconnected. So far I'm quiet happy with it,more power under the turbo and lots more 3k and up ...

intermittant advance on 93' 6.5 but the cold advance always works

The cam that pushes the arm,its fastened to the throttle shaft, but can be adjusted. If you have tps or vacuum regulator its behind that.

intermittant advance on 93' 6.5 but the cold advance always works

You need more light load advance. Adjust the retard cam and the allen screw. Do the cam first ,probably hitting the ramp to early .

intermittant advance on 93' 6.5 but the cold advance always works

Could be a worn piston bore, and too much psi leaks past after the fuel is hot. Usually if the piston is stuck it will stay that way. Do you have lots of white smoke ?
