Looking at your pics again.
it looks like you have the wrong shock in there.
Stock shocks have a bushing incorporated in the rubber insert, that bushing is as long as the inside width of the bracket. The bolt clamps the whole shebang solid
It appears you don't have that bushing there
I would drill or file the holes a bit bigger and make 2 bushings with a step on it from a thick wall piece of tubing or a nut drilled to size that will go flush with the inside, then install the shock and weld the bushings to the brackets.
I rebuild a 93 4L80 for a friend 4 years ago and installed a shift kit at the same time. It was my first AT rebuild attempt and i was surprised at how simple these trannys actually are
Total cost was 300 ish.
I did it all with standard tools but I had to fabricate a couple sleeves to protect the...
I haven't a clue if it is or isn't, all i know it has 5 to 10 % bio in it
I use only dyed farm fuel in all my trucks and tractors as i have done for 25+ years.
I don't use additives and never had a problem with IP's or injectors in any of them.
I did put some diesel fuel conditioner in that 98...
you can't pressure test the IP.
sometimes they develop a leak at the trottle shaft (0 ring) can be either leak fuel when running or let air in after shut down.
Other place that can leak is at the bottom of IP at the mounting pad, there is a small orifice between 2 seals to prevent a leaking...
That clear tube from IP to return has a tendency to get hard over time and lets air in at the nipple, it wont hurt to replace it yearly.
Is that IP mechanical ??
If it is, then the leak could be a bad fuel hose between filter and the inlet at the back of the pump underneath the intake plenum
Thanks Leroy.
There is no air in the line, filter is fairly new, my fuel is clean(farm bulk tank). fuel press is good.
That leaves wire/connector or OS to check out.
Help me out, I' m a little rusty here.:agreed:
Wife's truck died in parking lot,..started right up again and made it home without issues but SES light is lit.
I read the codes,... PO370 is set (resolution high)
What causes that code to set???
I hauled a load of 30' long buffalo panels today(made from 3 7/8" drill stem)
It was a pretty good load judged by the squashed tires,...the D-max didn't even feel it ;)
The 506 squirters i have seen are just pressed in inserts with an open orifice.
On the two Chinese blocks i have the bore holes and inserts are smaller than OEM.
