You can get JCB fittings and hose elbows and barbs at any hydraulic repair shop.
You may have to drill the JCB fitting ID up a size but that can be done in a drill press
One has got to wonder about covering the transistors with compound.
Why would there be a factory insulating plastic cap be on the transistors if the ability to shed heat is so important?.
I don't think the bean counters would spend another cent on a useless part just to make a PMD look pretty...

If you can get it to turn enough to get a heavy screw driver in the space on the side coming to you you can usually pry it enough over to get a water pump pliers on the cup edge and using the block as the fulcrum twist it out
No harm done if it happens to slip into the water...

I just run a 98 stock pump. I have temp sensors in both heads and a switch on the dash to alternate between the two.
I have never seen a diff in temp between the left and right bank,...not even when towing heavy.
