I never use these clamps, they are a PITA to get on or off..
The stock hose works fine without them, they are usually long enough that one can cut the ends off and re-use them once or twice.
I never had one leak or pop off yet.
The after market clampless hose is good for nothing
Prob worth it but it would be wayyy to much money for for me,..i have enough tractors as it is anyway.
????!!!.....245 org hours and 10 oil changes,....what gives?????.
He ain't sure of the year!,...the year is stamped next to the serial# on the build tag in plain sight on the rear of the cab.
IMO If the heads are cracked trough the valve seats it 's no use to put inserts in them as the seats are pressed in and will spread the crack between the valves and in time might loosen the seats.
IMO new heads is the way to go.
I cut a head apart 6 or so years ago, there is a water jacket between the seats
I figured there was not enough meat there to put a bushing or even a valve insert in.
For that reason i felt it was not worth it to expense the time and machining cost to attempt fixing a head.
Sounds like a bad injector. I would pull them all and have them tested, depending on the miles on them chances are none of them are top notch anymore
The sooner the better.
The chinese blocks are better than GM's,...They don't crack to pieces as the ones the general makes:D(the superior US castings so to speak) :rolleyes:.
Cash...oh ya! :singing::smuggrin:
Well Leo has come and after a rather short but very nice visit left with a brand new block and a pair of heads in the trunk of his Yukon.
I hope it serves him well for many years to come.
It was nice to be able to put a face to the name of another long time member of TTS
I bet he's gonna poke...
