Ok, tried all of that. Quick verification, is the CPS the sensor in the valley directly beneath the upper intake plenum where the boost sensor is located?
I'm digging the snap ring pliers out of the toolbox now...
So what is the solenoid between the injector lines, what is it's function? What happens if one of it's two wires has failed?
You are talking about removing the plunger from the vertical steel film canister sized cylinder that is screwed into the top of the IP, yes? Looking at the AllData vehicle diagrams they refer to the vertical solenoid as the Engine Shutoff Solenoid (ESO) and the solenoid between all of the...
One hasn't lived until they have towed a 196# 13-letter-shit-spreader Loadstar 1800 with a 1989 Cheyenne K2500-LD 4.3-V6 5-speed. Oh yeah, it was night and the Loadstar was full of wheat. I had the pleasure of that one on the farm. :D :D :D
Here's a thought I was having, need some input. I read where the fuel line from the FM -> IP likes to dry and crack, when David opened the fuel cap there was a lot of vacuum, is it possible that the IP sucked air in from this potentially cracked fuel line and there is air at some of the...
Additional info: I arrived to help troubleshoot in a very short amount of time and I pulled my truck up and connected jumper cables to try and minimize the frying of his batteries. Left my truck running the whole time as well. I have decent sized cables too, they did not get very warm.
Problem: Cranks, coughs (half-sorta fire), puffs a little exhaust, does not start.

buddy, thank you for the specifics. We don't happen to have any vendors kicking around that sell those Bosch (German) nozzles do we?
Correct you are about the region. :pat: Know those times when the obvious escapes you? I'm having one of those moments. :pat: There are a couple of...
David and I have been discussing the more important things for the truck, like these 2 things and #2 is of big interest. Who does that, that is where can you have it done? Any idea on what something like that costs?
It was a good time, I had a lot of fun taking it apart, cleaning and reassembling. It was a good reminder for me on how a GMT-400 is put together. After watching it get cleaner and cleaner I really would love to find one for myself.
I PROMISE you GM made them early in GMT-400: http://www.compnine.com/index.php?u=1&year=1988&artnbr=TZC17-02&artsfx=NULL&supplgroup=NULL&catcode=52C&modelcode=K&makecode=L&modelseries=NULL&uid=1&modelid=1147577413&capuid=1&majorgroup=17&grouptype=B
Hopefully that link works for you. It is the...
Marty, this for your 93? Early early GMT-400s had proper steel straps/bars like 88-89, 88-90. You can probably order them from dealership, or junkyard.
