Yea thats whats messing with me all the old rings was all different sizes ive seen that 1-6. Are same and 7-8 are different im just confused and had to stop the rebuild for the moment.
Hey fellas can anyone help me with the ring gap on a 6.5l or should i throw gapless rings in it and call it love? Would it be .004x4.055 the get the gap or .005x4.055 i know 7 and 8 run a tad hotter thanks
Hey fellas hope everyone had a great Christmas and new years. I was given a set of heads off a "optimizer" would there be the diamonds logo like in the valley? I dont recall on my engine when i got it from teds at lease i would hope they would be optimizer heads being it was military engines...
Thanks
Im glad i decided to over haul the engine it looked good but i wanted new lol scat crank all new bearings pistons rings and to new heads not gm heads
Makes sense but as far as being so easy to take off and put new one on has me stumped it doesnt wobble ive personally never delt with one that was so easy to come off and go on.
Is there a reason for it? I mean i understand the balancer slides on the crank with what a small thousands clearance only thing i can think is who ever before me thought it would leak oil 🤷
So far i have 608 miles on the drive line and like 60 of that on the tires lol. I love the super 60 its wastegated which is nice the tune is great rides smooth no vibrations other than you can tell its a 3500 lol i got upgrade battery cables and a catch can on my next order im very happy with...
It wasnt on the threads it was put on the edge of crank snout after balancer was installed then bolt was put in. I only changed it cause his oil seal was leaking and the rubber wasnt looking good so before he broke his crank i replaced it
