Those are beautiful pictures!
Nothing compares to a clear, moonless night away from light pollution.
The stars look like diamonds spread across black velvet.
That was my favorite part about being underway in the Navy.
Those clear, moonless nights. Of course, a full moonrise is awesome as well...
Amazing journey. Color me jealous! Your young uns will never forget it.
I have a funny Russian story. My ex and her sister, along with us husbands were attending a free summer concert on the Norfolk waterfront.
This was after the Cd War ended, and a Russian warships was making the first port of...
If you grind it i highly recommend having it heat treated. These 6.2 and 6.5 cranks have a thin hardness layer. GM cheaped out and used cast cranks instead of forged as called for by Detroit Diesel when they designed them.
Don't take my word for it, do some research. Please.
I saw somewhere thar Leroy Diesel hisself did something wrong similar. Used a passenger side manifold from a van on the driver's side as I recall. Already set up for V clamps.
Fwiw, the Marine Corps AV-8 Harrier uses those joints for their reaction nozzles. Those allow the aircraft to rotate while hovering.
We were constantly repairing the tubing and replacing those joints. They crack soooo easily.
Color me jealous.
I think I'm dumping my 6.2 if I can't locate that manifold. I lost mine when I moved...
Shame. I liked the diesel. Its o.k. for sea level, but I just completed a 3300 mile trek in my K5. My diesel never would have made it through the mountains without a turbo....
Adjusted my headlights. Been meaning to do it for over a year!
Good to be able to see at night again...
Got my new dash in 2 weeks ago, ordered all new dash a/c vents for it, also a new speedo since mine doesn't work correctly.
I've tried a couple I've had in the garage, they don't work properly...
This^^^^
My 90 has rear antilock. The light kept coming [n in my dash, but the brakes worked fine.
I'd unplug the box up by the master cylinder and drive it for a while, then plug it back in.
Drive fine for a while, then the light would come back on.
Pulled the drums, checkered adjustment...
I haven't forgotten about you, i just haven't come across that bracket yet. I am done with 700r4s.
Not bad mouthing them, it just seems I always get them near the end of their life cycle...
