On my 95 the left rear turn signal is not working. I have power to the tail light at the harness connecter but no power to the signal bulb, but the tail light works.
I was wondering if the circuit board in the tail light could be the problem has a purple color to it where the connecter is...
Does any members know what the stock alternator pully diameter is for a 95? I pulled the alt off and I don't see the Delco name anywhere on it makes me wonder if it has the correct pully on it now.

My 95 GMC had one bad battery and that was a little to much for the alt to handle and burnt it so thats why I bought the Powermaster 140. If Advance or Autozone would have handled a 140 I would have bought it there and got a lifetime warranty.

The pully measures 2.046 the stock pully is 2.411 I hope I'm reading it right. There is a card attached to the alt that says at 2400 rpm its output is 92 amps with stock pully at 7500 rpm output is 143, volts 14.8. This alt is was what was listed for my truck 94 to 95 you would think it would...
I bought a Powermaster 140 amp alt off Summit and the pully is around 3/8 of an inch smaller in diameter than stock, my question is what is the output going to be after I put the stock pulley on? Thank's.

The battery light is not on the tach is working and the fuse link has been eliminated by thr PO. and the batteries are in good shape WW. All the check lights appear to be working before start up.

Thanks for the info WW, coming home from Wisconsin it was charging at 14 amp's but after I had to put the boost to it it was showing 12 1/2 volts after I had 2 good batteries in the truck. Maybe I'll see if I can get a 125 amp alt for it to help it along.

Thanks for the reply AK, I popped the hood on the Caprice to have a look see and it doesn't look like it would even begin to fit,the one on my 95 look's pretty small. You know the Caprice might be a 125 amp now that I think of it it was a cop car in it's former life .
I have another question...
Well I got my Duraterms installed finally and with 2 good batteries the motor lit right up and sounded good. But my other problem wasn't fixed with the new battery its still not charging.
Here's my question .I have a 100 amp alt off a 94 Caprice will this work on my 95 if it bolts up or...
Well I've got 7 of the glows in with a little anti-seize and a socket and a little patience and they go right in. I think I might have to either grind a socket or use a 1/4 inch socket on # 8, however I have to say that they are a little tempermental.
Mark
Thanks AK I thought they were I figured I would ask anyway just to make sure. I get these plugs installed the 6.5 ought to start better, only 2 of the old plugs were working.

WW the front brakes appear to be ok other than needing a set of new pads. I think the heat might have come from the wheels being towed in that much & that bad inside wheel bearing didn't help matters any either.
Mark
Yeah I don't know whats up with the glows, the old ones thread right in there ok but it almost seems like the threads on the Boschs are different. I can get them to thread in far enough that they will sit there on their own. I just got home from work, I'm about ready to go out and play with...
Well like I say I didn't try a wrench on them ,the socket fits on the glow ok it just seems like it doesn't want to thread in .I think anti seize and a wrench and they should go in, hopefully.
Mark
Have a couple of question bought some new 80034 Duraterms and when I tried to install them I could not get them to thread in. I did not try a wrench on them but tried a couple of other holes and a couple different glows. It had Delphis in it and they thread right in ,am I just being to cautious...
I hear what your saying WW,It's a gamble when you buy something when you can't look at it and drive it before you buy it.
Trouble with these little 6.5's is there put together with all kind's of little hand grenades that can go off on you at any time, and that even happen's to people that...
