Break out the wallet and send him some money, Brother.
I have a feeling this is going to be a great mod. I'm waiting to see how it works out for the folks that pull on occation.

I sure wish I could have mounted mine like that. Would make changing the filter easier. Mine is changable but can be a pain as you have to hold your mouth, tounge the right way and have your legs crossed at the correct position to get in there and twist it out. :D
Work has been hard to find and getting worst. So I am inrolled in school. OR unemployment was cut in less than half so we are now broke. Truck has been parked for the last few months because diesel was over $4.40/9 but is coming down now to $4.05/9.
But the weather has been awsome. We...
If you are on a budget and it sounds like you are if you are if you are trying to home build one. Then I would shop you local craigslist and find a good used one. It would be safer to you and everyone around you.
And around GP there is alot of them.
There is a cool bone yard in Wolf Creek for Zuks. Used to go down all the time to visit the Grand Ma and had to stop in there everytime we were close.
My 95 has the lighter and two aux ports. From day one the aux ports have not worked and the ash tray won't close. I guess after owning the pick up for 4 years i should try to figure it out or take it in to have it fixed. I have yet to find the fuse for the aux ports.
Old thread I know but what the heck.
5" turn outs. I hate these and was told it was going to be the West Coast turn outs. I didn't feel like waiting a month to put it on. Shoot, 2 hours later it was on.
I set mine up for 3psi at sea level and cruising 55. At a good hill empty it would climb to 6 to 7psi. With the 5er on it would cruise at 3 to 4 psi and climbing it would hit 6 to 9 psi. Now that I'm at 3000', cruise at 65 it's at 3 to4 psi and will climb to 10 to 12 with a hard throttle. I have...
I'm not sure I know who Fred is, but that looks good. I have found that I'm in need of the stability that a dually will provide over the singles rear wheel.
I've found rear axles for $150 and less with the same gearing. Fenders have been found for cheap just need to do some glassing on them. Nothing big. Same with steel wheels. Those are all over for real cheap. It's the front spacers I need to find. I know there was some compnies that made them I...
Turbonator
Did you ever get this done? I've been wanting to change out my rear end and do something with the front end to take the duel wheels.
I know. Raising the dead here.
So with all this precup talk, what did I do when I swapped out my heads from diamond to dot. I hadn't thought about it untill now. If the old cups didn't have all the cracks past the fire ring I most likely would have swapped them out.
Having the OBDI pick up and the Scantech on the laptop, I'd get it as an update if it was offered. I have a bunch of guys that have the II pick ups and they have no options.
What would I pay? Easy to me. I'd pay $100 for an update and maybe $150 for it if I didn't have the original.
Prestone # 354180
This is a good number and is currently available.
Just ask the parts house for a Prestone thermostat of that number.
They make the 354160 (160F) 354180 (180F) and the 354190 (190F)
Any parts store that can get prestone should be able to get you one of these
Hope this helps...
For skin panels can't a guy just look for the RV scrapers in their local area? There was one in Silverton, Oregon that was huge. Like a very large auto wrecking yard. Just a thought if you are looking for just a few panels.
I had issues with the same thing when I was dealing with my head gaskets. Had a friend that works in the PDX shop for Knight tell me to put the v band clamp on with the turbo loose and then tighten the turbo down. After i loosened the turbo and tightened the v clamp tightened the turbo back down...
Thanks Brother. You ever think about writing a book with all this great info in it. I'm almost sure it would be a best seller. And then you could retire.:rof:
