We really liked the light bars when we wanted extra lights.
Never paid attention to any added noise. Those vehicles were loud anyway.
Never plowed, but I can see where you'd want the lights down by the plow and not up on a bar.
On the 94, my hose runs in front of the battery and right under the lip of the fender.

I've had luck tightening up loose rivnuts in a similar fashion, ad described earlier.
With a longer bolt, nut and heavy washer.
I found at least grade 5 for standard, works much better that soft hardware.
High density Spray foam also adds strength.
I think SPF R value improves with higher density, up 2.4 Lb density or something like that.
After it gets too dense it goes the other way.

Problem is, the counterfeits are very well done.
Often times they can't visually be distinguished.
On some guns, the counterfeits were actually better quality than the real McCoys.
