Scan "Desired Timing" "Actual Timing" and "TDCO or Top Dead Center Offset" before you change anything. See if Desired and Actual match and note the TDCO value. Then, put it into re-learn and see if the TDCO value learns differently. If the pump needs moved, you'll know after it tries to learn...
I noticed you said you replaced the tank sending unit. Did you verify it came with the correct strainer sock during install? This is a big issue on this platform with the replacement parts because no matter how good your lift pump is, it can't work if there isn't enough fuel getting to it.
I just did a '95 K3500 dump for a customer. It had the same exact symptom where it'd idle all day long but would die as soon as it was up to temp and you tried to put any sort of load on it. It required a full injection pump replacement which we did with our ULSD upgraded pump, however, we...
PO216 is timing control circuit which deals with the stepper motor on the injection pump. I'd be using a scan tool to watch desired vs actual timing. My initial thought is that it's not able to achieve the correct timing advance on cold start so it tosses the code. It could also be that the...
A 60/64/14 with a 6 blade comp and 10 blade turbine would be the "Super 40". You really want the 10blade turbine wheel with that 14cm T3, trust me. Is it twin scroll or open?
What are the details on your turbo, exactly? "I'm running an HX40" is open to much debate on actual specs and how it'll perform. If it's the CKO version, it's running exactly like I'd expect it to (poorly)
That's showing you are at max advance TDCO of -2.50. That either indicates a failed crankshaft position sensor (CPS), or the pump is already rotated too far to the driver side. If it visibly looks oriented to the driver side, it's time to rotate it back to a more vertical position. "It" = fuel...
The pump he got is a Raptor (pump only). It's not the style you are thinking of which has everything integrated into one unit like a FASS Titanium or Airdog or Airdog-II
Oh boy, you are new to fuel systems!
You still need all the injector and injection pump return lines. Those are a separate part of the system. The Raptor pump instructions are talking about a return straight from the fuel pump to the tank. Some larger pumps have a dedicated return and...
Your pump guy can educate you on this subject and get you what you need (I know him :cyclops:). Yes there are a few solid options for integrated dual purpose filters.
The heater is solely for water separation, remember. It de-crystalizes water molecules so the dual-purpose filters can separate them. I run the whole shebang. I've never drained water over the past 250k miles but you never know what kind of junk fuel you may come across one day if you plan on...
PO236, 237, 238 and P1656 are the ones that should be tuned out and properly re-mapped in the PCM for a mechanical wastegate setup. The boost curve is dynamic per RPM and fuel rate in a stock tune and you should expect to trigger the codes and experience de-fuel even if you have your spring...
I was wondering if you had a thread. I'll be watching for updates now!
^I was literally going to post the same thing Nate just did about the fuel pressure. I'd try to talk you out of a stock FFM before you run it too hard but it'll be fine to get up and running.
It's pretty easy to convert if you have moderate automotive wiring skills. As mentioned our 94 is OBD2 converted and we didnt have to do a harness swap.
I'm also working on swap kits with Leroy depending what your timeline is.
Nice piece for owners that just want to buy it and be done. Good to see it available individually.
I don't have any heat issues. It gets cold here too.
