disco'd the batteries for 10 minutes and the tdco didn't change. So I think we're good.

Ok thanks! IIRC the timing was at 3-3.5 when he tried to do the timeset and when he did the learn it jumped to 8-9 but once off it was back to 3-3.5. It sounds like it may be good. We'll do the battery and see what happens.

TDCO was different before. Not sure how it got set since the timing wouldn't set. I'll have him disco the batteries for more than 5 minutes and see what happens. Thanks.

My son replaced both speed sensors and the code still won't clear. He checked the wiring looking for bad grounds or something not connected but couldn't find anything. Since it is obd1 I was thinking the code should clear if we disco the battery. He was able to set tdco at -1.78 but the timing...

Thanks guy's. I rebuilt a set about 10 years ago with german bosch tips unfortunately I can't find any decent tips that I have confidence in.

    Injectors

What injectors are the ones I want. The last set I got from Leroy were GM because he was out of bosch. I am seeing those 2 but I have also noticed that DTech / Dipacto is selling rebuilt ones. Which is better?

Found 2 identicle tss's on the trans and a different larger diameter one on the transfer case. One of the transmission ones had wires connected and the tc as well. I thought they were the same. I need to get the tc sensor now. Strange thing happened When trying to clear the code after changing...

So there are 2 of them but one is only connected? If so I should have tried the other one. I have 2 of them coming because I thought we needed 2 of them.

good to know. If one of them isn't where the picture shows we'll know to look on the transfer case.

Yes using gmtd scan. Thanks for the info. With my autoenginuity you click learn and it does it in a few seconds. I'll just leave it on.

There is one code that won't clear. It is for the transmission speed sensor. I think it may not have been plugged back in after replacing the flexplate. Anyone know where it is located?

Just got her back together. I can tell the difference. It runs like it should. the TDCO is at .18. The desired timing is still around 8.5. When we do a tdc learn or time set it drops to 3-3.5 when they are on but when we turn them off that jump back to 8.5 range. Any thoughts?

Here are the outer gears. We have the top at 6 and the bottom at 12. Is that correct?

You shouldn't need to drop the pan to replace the timing gear/chain.

    I'll get it marked.

Here is the time keeper installed. Looks like the bottom gear mark is off to the left by one tooth.
