48RE TCC LOCKUP AT IDLE W/STALL

Howdy neighbor, I just realized you are located in Fla. I hear that Revmax is one of the best when it comes to the Dodge transmissions. https://revmaxconverters.com/

    P400 in the Burb install

    Hey guys, wouldn't a 1980 C10 have a 5.7 diesel instead of a 6.2 if it was still original? I didn't think the 6.2 come out until 1982?

    P400 in the Burb install

Rockabilly, do you have access to the Stanadyne Injection Pump Specifications for the 4974 pump and the 6360 pump? I don't mean the flow specs I'm talking about the info that the pump builders use when rebuilding the pumps. I would like to compare the two to see what the differences are.

    P400 in the Burb install

I have a serious problem, I can't get a IP for my P400 build and I want to go buy this and build a 6.5 hot rod truck with all of the xtra 6.5 parts I have! Someone help me!

    P400 in the Burb install

I think you need one of those CDD pumps with all the bells and whistles so you can sell me yours LOL!

    P400 in the Burb install

I was looking over the shoulder of the guy at my local pump shop and it was on the Stanadyne list right by the DB233-4974 6.2 Liter Marine (250 H.P.)

    P400 in the Burb install

I'm curious, what years did they put the DS pumps in Hummers? Will, you would know.

    P400 in the Burb install

The Stanadyne number I got is a DB2833-6360 300 HP and I wished I had the flow specs.

    P400 in the Burb install

Oh, and did you guys know that Stanadyne made a pump for the P400 engine? I guess just like they made the marine pump for Peninsular.

    P400 in the Burb install

Yea, that's my fine line here, this isn't a race truck, it's a driver and I'd like to stop working on it and just drive and enjoy it for a change so I don't want to over complicate it. That's why I would just like to talk to him and figure out the best setup and go from there. I stumbled...

    P400 in the Burb install

As far as the CDD pump goes about the most technical info I got out of Wes was that the in cab adjustable 150 cc pump eliminates the internal transfer pump and requires a boost referenced return fuel system with a 150 PSI 175 GPH lift pump. I would just need some more info and pros and cons and...

    P400 in the Burb install

Thanks, that's defiantly something I would want to think about since there are no more gear drive sets available for these engines along with no P400's available. So I'm told that one problem with the pump shafts failing is the side load on the transfer pump, so how is the transfer pump pressure...

    P400 in the Burb install

So his billet shafts do not have the tapered shafts to protect the engine?

    P400 in the Burb install

Thanks Nate, he actually emailed me yesterday afternoon and we went back and forth for a couple of emails and then the responses stopped I asked him to give me a call. We'll se what happens, I just can't send $2500 based on a brief description on a website without discussing my needs and such...

Working on a "next-level" fuel system

So like I said, it may not need to be done but you could weld a pass through aluminum tube in the intake manifold to line up with the puff limiter for a cable to run through and attach like the Attitude which would allow you to turn it from in cab. Not sure how bad the tube in the intake...

Working on a "next-level" fuel system

Nate I should have added, I have not had the pleasure of running a pump with a puff limiter yet so maybe once you get the housing dialed in, the boost reference adjustability is enough. You would know better, I'm just always brain storming one way or the other, LOL.

Working on a "next-level" fuel system

Thanks Nate, that's cool stuff. I'm sure you've thought about this but I was trying to figure out how to adjust the Puff Limiter housing with a cable and knob sorta like the P pump Attitude Performance adjuster but I can't figure out how with the GM intake manifold so close to it. That with the...

    P400 in the Burb install

Man I wished I had a core pump I could take apart just to better understand the workings.

Working on a "next-level" fuel system

Nate do you have any postings showing your Tahoe setup? I thought I had read most of your threads but maybe I missed something somewhere.
