    GMT800 Seat Heater Elements

These are what I got on Amazon. They’ve been going 5+ years and two seats in Montana. Wife loves them. https://delicate-leather.com/products/car-seat-heater-kit-for-2-seats-carbon-fiber-alloy-wire-heating-pads-with-3-level-switch

    GMT800 Seat Heater Elements

They’ve worked so good that when I bought replacement seats from salvage, I swapped the heaters into the replacement seats.

    GMT800 Seat Heater Elements

I installed seat heaters in our 2014 4Runner. They were like $80 on Amazon and work great.

GMT 800 Brake Conversion > Silverado HD 2500

Went out to the LKQ Pick your Part in Victorville, CA. They had two Silverado 2500 HD trucks. The bearing bolts on the first truck stripped and could not be removed, but had success on the second truck. It was 100F out there and just miserable, but I got it done.

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Completed my two day, 1,250 mile drive from Stevensville, MT to Fullerton, CA. Flopped at Paveltolz’s place in Saratoga Springs, Utah at the midpoint. It was 600 miles from Stevensville to Saratoga Springs and I still had 1/4 tank of fuel left. This engine now has 10.35k miles on it and is...

Would knuckles from a 1999 Silverado 2500 work?

GMT 800 Brake Conversion > Silverado HD 2500

For $20 per knuckle, I’ll get replacements and ream them.

GMT 800 Brake Conversion > Silverado HD 2500

I need a new set of knuckles because I reemed too deep for the tie rods. There is a 2011 HD at an LKQ Pik a Part yard and they have a 50% off sale this weekend. Would the knuckles from a 2011 HD work as replacements?

I was silent on this when you bought it. Wish you had asked here, because this model is well known for electrical gremlins.

I have literally done all of this and will have to do it again when I paint the truck because the paint on the handle is chipped up pretty ugly:

    Remote Control Door Lock Receiver

I need to get back to the remote rear door lock issue I originally started this thread for. At least I corrected most of the stereo and speaker issues.

I bet you the OEM rods were hecho in China.

I just did this to get the clip back onto the latch rod at the latch.

That was my next step, but right now it’s opening nicely. RockAuto does sell replacement rods. I’d probably go that route.

    Remote Control Door Lock Receiver

OK I verified the rear roof speakers are not work and the control for them on the Pioneer Head Unit is greyed out. Did some YouTube research and it’s due to the parking brake line. I simply grounded mine to get the head unit to work, but it still creates issues with the rear roof speakers. On...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Replaced the driver’s side interior handle as the existing was bent, which made it extremely difficult to open as the length of pull on the actuator rod was severely diminished. RockAuto had a close out on handles for $3.98, but shipping was $11.98, so I ordered 3 handles to justify the shipping...

Oh I forgot, installed my JBL Speakers in the rear passenger doors of the ‘99 Suburban. They are much nicer. Now I need to do this on the front doors, then rear roof speakers.
