Rustoration is on a veeeerrrryyyy sllllooooowwww track. Have the truck in parts and am waiting on the shop owner for the body work. Body work is done as a side business and there is already another vehicle in the way. So, just waiting this one out. In the interim, I am running an OBS Ferd...
X-2 for focusing on the IP.
Try the RPM test by slowly pressing the throttle to increase RPM's to 2,000, hold for a few seconds, and slowly release. Repeat 10 times (not kidding)
- If the RPM's smoothly match the throttle inputs (ie: RPM's perfectly track the throttle) on each cycle, IP is...
At the risk of insulting, watch the slope trajectory. Last thing you'll want is for a heavy downpour to direct ground water *at* the house.
And, am seeing an awesome sledding hill in the making :)
I run one, but it is in a completely different engine known for leftover sand from the casting which works lose over time. It is just a plane filter (no additive tablets / membranes) which works in the same manner as a stand-alone bypass filter as Will described.
Have not seen any real need...
Apologies for tardiness to the game.
Looks like the technical issue was addressed. One last consideration is to look into having the tablet do a complete system wipe and start fresh to clear out any conflicting add-on gunk. No real harm in going this route, but make sure to offload any files...
Welcome to TTS!
IIRC, GM's dually configuration from that era were an attorney's manna from heaven as the brakes were under-powered which resulted in collisions when loaded heavy.
As noted, the stated plans are known to have the opposite effect on goals, so please help the community understand...
Wondered if we would get any more updates on this thread given the clamp-downs on internet traffic from this region of the world.
Hope all is well and the complete truth is able to flow.
Good question. Treating the 6.56's piston is straight forward. Finding an E85 compliant injector seems like the challenge.
Like many start-ups, good idea.
Another challenge is supply. IIRC, only a few years ago we had corn production drop to the point where it started to raise the question...
Nice presentation. One surprising element was that given the current date, there was no statement on efforts to eliminate the last use of lead in fuels as it appeared to throw aviation consumers to the wolves. Unless I am missing something, lead in aviation fuels are on track to start phasing...
Do not recall posting details on the event at the time, as it also turned into a bit of a $hit show with a now failed business. Main reason for not posting was that I wanted to have facts on what caused the incident, and sadly none were ever found. In the end, it appears like the incident was...
At the risk of adding bad noise to the conversation, I had read cases where IIRC the crank would fail somewhere around the 100K mark. Do not know how wide spread the issue was, but a few years ago there were some high milers whom suddenly needed a new engine. And, Yes, am rather certain it was...
FWIW, do not recall claims about a miracle filter, but rather the personal discipline to make extension of oil change intervals work.
The keys are filter changes at all the OE intervals *and* supporting data from regular analysis.
Some vehicles I have were run with the same batch of oil well...
Always sad to see beasties like this get completely picked apart and cast out.
Here is a thought. See about gutting the burned-out section, revamp the entire rig, put it on stands, hook it into utilities, and turn it into an Airbnb. Will get way more than scrap or salvage value this way :)...
