Good to know about longevity of metabo grinders. My dewalts can go to wire duties and I need new ones for cutting stone and metal. One can never have enough grinders. I only like changing wheels when worn out, never to change grinder purpose.
I had to install hardware cloth on the core support where air enters and on the airbox where it meets the fender. Be happy that's all they wrecked. This pic is from under the jack storage box, where the rodents took up residence in the cab.
Unless someone is near you(driving distance). Getting that heavy starter shipped to you will be expensive. They also are a PIA to change out, at least in my case. Heat shields, glow wires, bracket, wires, and heavyness all contribute to PIA factor. I would start new IMO. That said there must be...
Glad to see an ending and new beginning here. Most projects get scaled back at end, due to time constraints/money. I make a punch list in order of importance, and slowly check off. I installed the Energy Suspension Tranny mount yesterday. It was planned for engine swap project, but time,money...
I will look to find the link, it is somewhere in this section. I believe the Fermanator mentions it to someone with similar issue, and describes this fix. I seen a thread on it as well, but might be on GMT400 site.
Any luck with this problem? I have this problem on the drivers side. I change boards and they burn out in a few days or last a long time. I am gonna order earlier lenses and sockets and solder them in to eliminate the crap circuit boards. That's what I read on here. I wish I had an answer.
Not to change subject, but where or what manufacturer did you get the dual oil filter relocation kit, and does it eliminated the leaky FN OEM adapter the truck came with. The link didn't work for me, but no one is gonna doubt this. I agree that increasing the size will lower the pressure, but...
Is the lower pressure due to the small micron size? I am running Leroy's relay to the walbro as well. I am running whatever micron size a 3239 napa filter is, and getting earlier stated pressures. I got same pressures without walbro and relay with heath pump that looks like oem pump.
Thanks Ferm, When I was putting everything together, I realized why you would insulate The AC components near a big heat source. It will be awhile before I need AC here in the N. East, as Spring has taken the year off. I just want to have it ready.
My Walbro at WOT with sock delete and prefilter Leroy sold me(not sure of micron) never goes below 7#. My truck will fishbite at anything lower than or 5#. I don't have FTB, but have same tune as you. At idle I'm at 15#. I'm just letting you know what my setup has, I have no idea why its so low...
An upate and question on AC. I Properly set up system and put a vacuum on system and the vacuum held on the guage for hours while I was burning brush out back. I recharged the system and it works. My next question is about reading somewhere on here about isulating the accumulator and hoses from...
A steering wheel puller probably wont do it. Will L says best pitman arm puller is made by OTC. Don't bother with HF pitman puller. I had to use a bearing separator set, heat and BFH to get the one off my old jeep. Everything on my chevy came apart way easier than my solid axle jeep, so a Napa...
I was lucky enough to have left a coolant block off plate on block. The bolts were 10 X 1.50 pitch for the intake. My POS HF hoist raised the block just high enough to go into bed of truck. I had the truck at max weight and the truck didn't seem to notice power wise. The fuel guage did.
I just drove to NJ to empty out a storage locker. It contains my old GM block, and I forgot the bolts to attach the hoist to the block. Does anybody know the size offhand so I can get some at HD. Thanks
Everything Else was bad on my 98 but the center link. The pitman arm is a PIA to get off, if that is bad seriously check for movement in tie rod ends, ball joints, idler arm and housing. My truck was a plow truck before I converted it back, so gear box and pitman arm which are together, were...
Search grounds on this forum and there is one by Turbine Doc that you need to read. Those grounds will affect the running of your truck. In particular the black wires that come off the firewall area and go to the stud where the tranny dipstick tube is mounted is important. I believe thats where...
