yes i would pay 250 bucks for it. AE is expensive and carcode doesent sound fun and im going to need a scan tool in a little less than a year so this would be great if he made it.
im very interested! im curious how its going to spool with the 3.42 gears and how your doing the downpipe since im looking to replace my turbo next summer.
i talked to the guys at fleece about running the garret vvt turbo since you can get them on ebay for about the same price as the holset vgts but electrical standalone controller is about 900 bucks. i would be intrested how the turbonator guys are going to control it?
the vgt is capable of 400hp but at twice the boost your running it at. this of course would kill a 6.5 pretty fast so you need a bigger turbo that flows more air at less boost and drive pressure than the vgt
these turbos look like a good fit but the quality still scares me to run one is the cheap price. ive tried to researched these china hx40s made by emusa and nothing bad really has come up when searching forums that pop on google. one guy said though he did dissasemble an emusa turbo but not a...
look under the hood at that fuse box. i shorted out two fuses with the trailer wiring when putting on a new rear bumper and didnt have to replace anything except those two fuses.
hx40s come in wastegated combos so i would look into that for faster spooling. holset vgt would probably be the best if you can build a good controller for it or use that e boost.
lots of turbos can provide enough air for 400 hp and i would talk to a performance diesel turbo supplier for the best fitting one for your application. an hx40 or a holset vgt turbo will support 400 hp if you want to keep it cheap. the only pump that could supply you with enough fuel for 400 hp...
