How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

An off topic question.

What is a good fuel sending unit replacement?my current one isnt broken or anything, though, it has a few sticky spots, causing the fuel guage to have....weird readings occasionally.

(Found these on RockAuto https://share.google/CZvoC8MtPtgyyKimh )

On that note, is there a way to see what fuel tank size one has? Not sure what i have, and if im going to drop the tank, I will need the correct gasket to reseal it

Sometimes it's the hauge that's the issue.

Super off topic, but what in Earth could cause my 6.2 to absolutely HATE going uphill, take a look at this, literally struggling

Fuel starvation, bad/weak lift pump, in tank sock plugged, fuel filter in engine bay getting dirty, I don't know if 6.2 fuel tanks are internally baffled like later trucks have, but if the baffle has moved and fuel level is low the sump part of the baffle flopping around could lead to starvation this is more of a 6.5 thing, but take the thoughts from it and maybe do similar troubleshooting for your 6.2.

are you still running the factory trans and trans controller? running a DB2 IP all the TPS does is send signal to the trans controller to tell it when and how to shift. you may or may not need to fix or replace the TPS. if you are running an aftermarket trans or have a older 700R4 that is operated by cable linkage then all the TPS is doing is monitoring the engine / trans but doesn't control anything.

are you having any shifting issues?

I remember this video, it was because my dumbass at the time didnt shift out of overdrive when going uphill, shifting into 3rd solves these issues

Not at all, the factory Transmission was a 700r4, which used a TV cable at the time.

I currently have a 4L60E behind it, with the US Shift Kit 4 controlling it, thars why I was surprised it even caused the Service Engine Soon light to come on

no shift issues either

Or more fuel, what are you running for a lift pump?

I got bit myself in May when doing disaster relief work in NC mountains, fI orgot to look at my IP fuel inlet pressure gauge @ a hair above 0 running factory lift pump, kicked in my Walbo running in parallel with the factory IP inlet back to 10 psi 77gph (theoretically 32gph+45 gph) if as new specs say pumps are supposed to deliver, able to run unlimited speed after that in OD.

Your us shift kit should be using some sort of TPS to know when to shift. SES light is on because the factory TCM/PCM is still connected. I would just pull the fuse to it since you have the aftermarket trans controller.

on my truck, it uses a EZ-TCI controller. it has it's own TPS mounted on a cable connected to the IP throttle linkage. same concept.
