gm8, not sure of boost. It has a turbo master. It was 8-10 psi before rebuild with same length on the screw. Not sure of fuel.

Thanks for the info. I will have my son read this 4 or 5 times. I actually noticed the dipstick getting a little frothy on the handle end first while it was running. after taking the coolant crossover off, the passenger side water would slightly rise, while the driver side would shoot out...

You are correct. I assumed my son did that. I just asked him and he didn't. He's doing that next.

This truck has been a thorn in my side (mainly my son's). Not sure where to go from as far as figuring out the head gasket issue. My son put the permatex black on the stud threads, tightened them and waited 3 days. He just tightened down the heads and got it buttoned up and the water is now in...

Yes the water issue has been figured out. It never got into the oil that we can tell. The oil is not milky. Hopefully the black permatex will do the trick.

Mine is a 95. The gmtd is what were using. We will attempt to get the timing in the 3.5 range before doing a time set or set the tdco.

The compression is currently all within 10psi of 400. The heads are p400 heads that I got from chris. I had them checked out after the compression issue the first time and they were good. No bent valves. The water leaking is internal. Nothing leaking on the outside. After reading WW's...

It's been a while. My son is back in town working on the engine. We decided to forego the gapless rings for stock rings. I did talk to the local machine shop who does most of the 6.5's. They are also a race shop. The guy said that they do lots of gapless rings and every once in a while they have...

    Is this a normal knock

Not really. Like I said, I'm used to driving a newer quiet diesel. What made me think is a guy who also drives a newer diesel said it sounds like it has a knock. I thought it sounded normal but I started second guessing myself. Anyone else want to post your sound for comparison?

    Good advice. Thanks will.

    Is this a normal knock

I haven't driven the suburban in a month or so and I started it up and I'm not sure if the noise is normal or not. My other newer diesel is quiet so I'm not sure if I'm hearing something or not. I have 2 videos. One from the the top and one from the passenger side in the wheel well.

I built it myself. I wasn't aware of the powder. I will ask them about it.

    Stalling / Smoke

My son put one of the other Inj pumps we had in and it fixed the stuttering and smoking. He got it right at -1.93 right off the bat. no adjusted needed. How lucky can you get. Now I just need to turn down my turbo master. I keep getting a p0236. Other than that it's running better than ever (at...

No. I didn't receive any powder with them. That wouldn't cause the discrepancy with the compression on each bank would it?
