Both trans are 4l80e 4x4 but one is from 2500 model and other is 3500 model, if this makes a difference, not sure...Thanks

Morning guys...Will a 1993 2500 4x4 trans interchange with my 1994 3500 4x4 trans without any major changes in wiring etc? Owner of 2500 trans states it will interchange. Would like to save money. 2500 trans has 132,000 miles on it and was working fine before owner deciced to part out his 1993...

Thanks for the info. Going to pull my 1 ton to this guys shop and have him change out trans. he told me his trans would work. Was worried about 4x4 whether it would work or not. Dont use 4x4 very often except in emergency situations. Dont care what anybody says, you guys know your stuff. Lol...

Oops meant output shaft change not input shaft. Shows I dont know much about trans. Lol Thanks again...

Had new injector pump installed and truck running like new. Thanks guys... New problem...ac is fully charged and cold. Sometimes clutch engages and other times had to tap clutch with rubber hammer. Now clutch not working either way. Is there way to test if ac coil bad or just clutch bad?
