Today I installed a new return fitting in the governor cover.Stanadyne part number 21251.I have to say this engine is now running the very best it ever has been.Absolutely zero issues.Runs smooth as silk.I did not swap injection pumps like I did plan to do but since it’s running beautifully why...

I finally have the 6.2 mounted on the engine stand.I put some deep creep penetrating fluid upon the machined surfaces to prevent corrosion,etc.I’m pretty sure I have the outer stud kit for the mains purchased but will have to go back through my parts stash and see if it’s there…lol.Assembly...

This morning the acdelco universal solenoid switch I purchased arrived.I plan to use this for extra preglow time to heat up the Bosch 80034 glow plugs in case it’s needed.I’ll just use it in conjunction with the factory 6.2 diesel controller that I have in place.I always used acdelco 8G fast...

Sorry to hear Big T.Hoping to test my 2nd set today.I’ll have to pick up some extra fuel today to see how things turn out with this second batch.

Here’s a picture of the tester I purchased.I find all of the vevor products to be beyond exceptional.I will try to test the 2nd set of injectors today.

Yes it’s definitely time to get this underway.The 5.7 diesel in my fathers truck is pretty well wrapped up under the hood.Just a few minor things to take care of and it’s 100% in regard to that.

Morning guys.Cant believe it’s been over 2yrs with no update on this.Between work and looking after my 3 children it’s been hectic.The block and crank still sits on a pallet but guess what?Its going on the engine stand today.

The first set of injectors tested perfectly with no streaming.I’m very happy with the end result.Each one popped at about 2100psi. I bought two sets.Only tested one set so far.Will check the remaining set today.
