My radiator has sprung a leak, drip.....drip......drip.drip.........drip. Not good!

I remember Missy Good Wench stating a good place to get a great radiator for cheap but, can not find the post.

I would like to replace it with a new radiator if I can.

What is a good place to purchase one from?

Thanks,

Everyplace I look online wants $400 to $500.

I was hoping to stay in the $200 price range.

1 800 radiators was $239. Does anybody know a better place?

How about a vendor?

I run a Spectra for the last 6 months.......paid about $160.00 (W/a 20% discount) ....AutoZone carries them I think.

Got mine from a local Mom and Pop parts store......there's a P/N around here for it.

I paid 300$ from Radiator.com. All they do is dispatch it to a local shop. it was delivered to my door in 2 days. No issues with it. Yeah I can't give you a guarantee for 2 weeks. Sorry.

I wish I could find one for that cheap! The cheapest so far was from A1 for $221.

Auto zone want $400

Someone else here got there's from J.C. Whitney - it was less than $200.00 IIRC.

Mine sprung a leak where the lines connect for a auto tranny. I'm taking mine to a rad shop - get it boiled out too. A lot cheaper than new.

Yes
The radiator I bought was made by Visteon.
I bought it from Mac's Radiator in Portland Oregon.
Their people told me that this is a OEM replacement quality radiator.

I have one in the 94 Burb and one in DaHoooley.

The big issue with replacement radiators is that some of the stuff out there are epoxied cores (tubes are epoxied in the head plates and when the epoxy cracks they leak and are junk) The visteon is an aluminum brazed core

My cost was $235 (Wholesale)

I do know that Macs sells only stuff that is quality. They been there for a very long time.

Full service shop with repairs on site, custom radiators etc.

They do have a web site Macs Radiator (Portland Oregon)

Robyn is right. Mac's has been around in the Portland area forever. I remember going there to have a copper radiator rodded out in high school. They had JUST closed, and opened it up just because I was a desperate student trying to put the family car back together. Great guys.

-Rob :)
