WTF is that?

I was changing the oil when I noticed a ring hanging out of the hole in the inspection cover for the torque converter. Anyone know what that is? Its loose, I can move it around but it wont come out. I would think if it was a lock washer I could pull it out, almost looks like the end of a spring.:???:

No, its a metal ring and Im pretty sure it came from inside

The inspection cove is easy to remove, just 4 bolts.

X2 6 bolts to remove the cover and inspect it.

Part of the starter or debris that entered around the starter is my guess. Keyring debris?

I gave is a pull and its not going to pull out. Ill get the cover off and see what I see. Maybe monday or tuesday
