WOW! Check out the Israeli's "Combat Guard"... It has a 6.5 Diesel!!!!

I think I'm in love...don't tell my wife or my Hummer. On second thought, my wife found my Hummer for me so you can tell her what I would like next.

Did you guys check out the video? I love the shot of it going down the embankment. That would hang up or flip most other rigs, including mine.

Awesome!

-Rob :)

300HP 6.5 I thought the P400 was rated at 250HP???? Might be a typo or error but I can hope. 300 factory HP is pretty impressive.

I also smile and hope they just keep on building stuff around the 6.5 engine as that means longer production run and more good used engines down the road for when I have to redo mine.

Besides the 5.9 the 6.5 has to be pretty high in number of engines out there in the world and hopefully years of parts availability!

I'm thinking maybe they dropped a supercharger on the p400?

That is why AM General said they chose the 6.5 was world wide parts availability already existed, followed 2nd by the fuel economy.

(How do you guys turn the words blue for making it stand out in a quote?)

I guess a couple of ways. I sometimes reply with quote then you can edit words highlight and click on the boxed A at top of the post window past Font size and pick a color. you can delete and add to the quote just do not alter the brackets [stuff]

Ok thanks. That's what I wanting to avoid- making like I misquote someone. I don't want to be accused of being a politician.

I edited my reply I really only try to make it a point to note if I clip and take words out of a reply with quote so as not to try to avoid taking anything out of context.

A super charged factory 6.5 would be nice. More stuff to dream about a used super charger intake in the future when they are more affordable. There was an Australian built super charger system but $$$$ I think it was a marine application mostly though.

Any staff member will gladly fix a botched quote for you. Just pm one of us with a link to the post.

You can find discontinued superchargers for the 6.5 around. They suck power/MPG to run and are simply outclassed anymore by a spool valve on a big turbo or full on variable turbo.

Military and most of the "do as I say not as I do" equipment is exempt from emissions.

Yeah our cars are supposed to hug trees, theirs are designed to blow them up, so I guess at that point they don't care about being green.

Good point... military is designed to break things and kill stuff, so being green would be low on the list, for sure.
