Wow. Check out the 4BT powered 2-door Tahoe

Local fellow has a Burb with a 4BT in it. The thing shakes like a bowl of jelly but he is happy as a clam with it.

The replaced the GM tranny and T case with a Mopar 47 RH and the attendant T case.

They did not want to mess with all the electronics.

Too much money unless teh 4bt has been rebuilt.

Buy the truck, take the drivetrain out and toss the rest.....sorry, but the truth hurts.

Power and MPG claims are not very impressive either seeing how my ratty ol' 6.5 is just as good in both departments....and cheaper to fix to boot!

If going through all that trouble, I'd rather use a 6bt. It's a tight squeeze but has been done many times. A P Pumped 24v would make HP lovers drool .

130 hp in a engine that weighs the similar to a 6.5. what a dog it must be. plus its got a ve pump which cant put out as much power as the p pump

I recently saw a CL ad for a 93 GMC crewcab 2500 that someone had swapped in a 650 hp Ford smallblock with twin turbos.

I cant imagine why. Seems like if you owned the motor you'd find something Ford to put it in, and if you want to hotrod the GMC build a 454 for it. I just don't see the reasoning behind doing all the work and hassle. I mean, I could see putting a 5.9 Cummins in one of our trucks, because of the massive aftermarket power potential, but other than that, lotta work for no apparent reason. I guess some people have more time on their hands, and more ambition than me.

That Tahoe is a rat. If it had a 5.7 gas in it at least it wouldn't be a total dog.

If the body work was done, it'd be a good deal aslong as he didnt cut any corners in the conversion, 6bt would be nice, but I'd like to have a 4bt for the mileage. They can be made very easily to run all over a modded 6.5 and be twice as reliable, without breaking the bank.

Its cool, im sure he is trying to recover some money he has into the conversion in the price. But i too would rather see a 6bt in there, so much more for power potential.

I bet with a few pieces of body trim and a cheapy maaco paint job people would look at this thing as a good deal.

I bet that 4bt has plenty to move that along just fine.
