The 2 wires comming out of the harness that attach to the W/G Solenoid plug.....Which color is the one on the right (Closest to the firewall) and wich color is on the left (Closest to the rad/fan etc.)

Problem is I got a new plug with one purple wire and one black. My old harness end has no plug, so I don't know which wire goes where......And does it matter?
 
Mine are pretty dirty, but it looks like a lite brown or orange wire on firewall side, and a green towards the front. Solonoid is not connected anymore, but the wired connector is still there.
