Wiper arm Timing

I recently purchased a 1998 3500 4X4 SRW truck. The drivers side wiper rests higher than the passenger side arm when they are parked. When they are running the drivers side goes off of the windshield several inches. This allows for water runoff to wrap around the "A" pillar and run into the cab if the window is cracked open. Does anyone know how to retime the wiper arm so it sits lower when parked? The arm is keyed and cannot be moved at the cowl attachment point. Can this be adjusted at some other point? At some point someone has replaced the wiper motor as it has a replacement part ID tag on it indicating it has been rebuilt.

You may have a bent linkage underneath?
I was just hoping you had the wrong wiper arm on the drivers side. Several inches off the glass is a lot.
Wish I could be more help. Maybe grind off the key and tap it for a set screw!

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look for the adjustment link. I assume that I need to remove the upper cowling panel to get on the back side of the wiper motor. I looked at AllData, but couldn't find any info specific to adjustments.

Just for the record, the arms are tight and there is no mechanical movement. Being several inches off only occurs at teh tip of the arc. The lower portion of the wiper is still on the window.
