It's here...:mad2:
Lost 1.5-2 mpg and a ton of performance. Happens every year at this time until late April.
Some of the mpg loss is cooler air of course but it's still a bummer.
Went from 18.5 - 19.5 down to 16.5 - 17.5 :nonod:

OK rant over. It's better than gelling up. An experience I've not wished to have happen ever again...

I don't know as I didn't have a baseline with summer fuel on my truck, but my current MPG's I sure hope thats it.

You'll recall Jeff that it's a good 10 - 15k before you see any improvement in break in MPGs.
I went to pass a guy on a 2 lane this AM that was doing 55 and thought I was gonna have to get back out of it because it took so long to build any power... Sheesh!

I'm pretty sure we've got that crap-tacular winter blend back over here now, my economy is down to 16.5 from 17.6 with my mixed driving.

I just read somewhere that the dates are usually October 15th for the winter blend and then April 15th back to the good stuff.

I'm sure that's regional but you probably are on the same schedule as we are Jeff. Mid Oct is when I started to notice the mileage starting to drop off and as to the performance difference... I got some of that back after I changed the FF a couple of days ago at over 11k on it.

Not sure what is currently in the duramax, but she still sure had some torque tonight! I had a little fun in the corn field. :D

the truck was so much fun with the new programming because i still had summer diesel in the tank and it was 50 degrees out so my iats were way down. filled up the next day with winter diesel and it just wasnt as much fun anymore.
