Both my 91 and my 94 leak water. Plus they are in the same place right next to the A piller on drivers side.
I have put RTV a long the top of the windshield but it still leaks. It only leaks when it is setting in the rain. It dont leak when driving. I just cant find were it's comming in from. The 91 is so bad it drips on my left knee when I get in. The 94 the head liner is just wet in that area.
I did a search with out any luck. Has anybody else had this problem?

Yep, pull your windshield out and clean and repaint the windshield frame. These trucks have rust problems in the windshield frame area due to the piss poor seal design that GM used along teh top that allows dirt to collect and hold moisture which allows it to eat through the paint and rust out the frame area.

My replacement windshield "glue" failed. Seems kinda hard to seal with RTV might consider getting a new windshield.

You can push on the windshield and see if it has any air noise while driving (with windows up) to see if seal is broken.

I had a new windshield put in and that stopped my leak. I watched the guy put my new one in and he was good. He cut the old "glue" off very carefully not to nick or scrape off any paint. He said if the windshield is replaced and they scratch the paint off it will rust. He put down a nice uniform bead of urethane sealer/glue and dropped the new windshield on dang near perfect with very little adjustment. Shut the doors very softly and let it sit overnight before driving.

While it was leaking I tried to park with it nose up to help any rain roll towards back off roof. It did suck making a turn and having water drip on my lap.

The other problem with the GMT-400 trucks is most any water leak will run down the rook and drip onto the headliner and come down on the drivers or passenger side when it drips. So just because you see the water there doesn't mean that's where it's coming from. You may also want to check your cab lights if you have them as they are known to crack and leak.
