Win 7

I'm waiting to hear some feed back also. Plus I installed IE 8 beta and don't need 2 beta's on here at the same time, wont know which one caused any glitches. I'll try the browser, while someone else tries the OS.

Wife is running it on her laptop - Dell Core 2 Duo, 1 gb ram

She loves it, so far, but she has had to grapple with a few networking issues, also some software incompatabilities (her TrendMicro won't work on it, so she downloaded AVG for the moment) She's running MSOffice 2007, ie8beta, windows live, paint.net, Palm desktop, Firstclass email, Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro

It doesn't like her Palm tether, so when our ISP died, she couldn't even go wireless, so that wasn't cool...

So far, it's been workable.

People I've talked with are liking it... but I'm in no rush to change my MediaStation over... things work just fine the way they are...

I like it so far a glitch here and there but nothing major. I'm running it on my Toshiba Satellite- Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 gb ram. Fastest laptop I ever owned, but thats really not saying much. Before this laptop I never had one with more than 512 mb.

I'm on my second beta now...this one is really nice. I do hope they bring back some options for the 'classic view' as I am most familiar with those, but it seems much more solid for me than Vista. If you have a Hotmail account you can get it legally with a key. Just be aware that these beta versions will cease to function I believe it's at the end of August...could be wrong on the date, but it will stop before they release the real deal.

I've got it up and running now on my T61p. 2.5ghz 3gb ram and one sloowwww 250gb 5400rpm harddrive. Dual booting with XP. No real big issues so far. It is just as fast as XP, if not faster. Windows built-in zip tool is hanging up, but i'll fix that with IZArc

Yea you just need a Windows Live login. Keys stop at the end of the month I think.. You're right about it not working at the end of august.. hopefully production version will be out by then. I'm dual-booting just in case

I loaded the 32 bit version - ran fine and loaded fast as a dual boot - didn't have any problems even on the RAId 5 partition - it found and loaded the driver on my flash drive. I like it so far - though I don't think there's enough in there to make me want to upgrade from XP64 - the only feature I thought was worthwhile having that XP doesn't have is shrinking a drive or expanding one that's partitioned.
