This is what the trucks been doing today. We drove all over Cadillac today to find my wife a new toy. She's wanted one for quite some time.

Yup, right after I teach her how to drive a manual. [emoji15]

That will be fun for sure.

I wished all drivers would have had to start out driving with a three on the tree manual shift before they started driving. My first was a 1969 1/2 Ton, Chevy, 2 wheel drive, 250 CI., inline 6.

got my kids learning in the escort with manual trans. My oldest daughter had a hard time with an auto as she didn't know what to do with her left foot. LOL

You mentioned the Escort, I assume that's one of the Ford Escorts.

Remember back in the late 70's the original Ford Fiesta came out. Well my Dad bought a Red 1980 Model, 4 Cylinder, 4 speed in the floor. Must I say I did some amazing things in that car as a teenager as far as getting all the performance you could get out of it. Little car got real good fuel mileage and went real good in the snow.

Ya know, lots of Jeep Cherokees get 6.5s... why not a regular jeep. Then with the 4L80e she could have an automatic. Then talk about your good fuel mileage...

Update on the "toy". I knew buying it, it had bad body mounts on the drivers side but not how bad.

So I cut off what was left and have made a new one for the front. Pictures tomorrow of that.

I also cut out a poorly done patch under the middle mount and filled it in so I will have a better place to attach the new one too. Down side is the middle and back middle are blind nuts so ill have to cut in from the top of the floor pan to gain access. The welding isnt top notch but it will do for now. :)

Honestly didn't think about it. :( probably would be better. But I guess at this point I'm not gonna stop. Plus its good practice. :) and a huge learning experience. Next time new frame would be way better.

Well the "wife's new toy" has become my toy. Her daily driver, 97' Grand Cherokee was on its last leg. Basically needed new everything and the was a huge hole in the subframe where the drivers front control arm attaches. So we bought her a new daily. Its an 07'. Ended up spending more than I wanted but if it lasts her another 20 yrs I'll be happy. [emoji3]
