wi-fi range extender

i need to get better recption from the the wifi tower that 2 blocks away,my laptop can't get a good signal,i live in a concrete building, anybody got some cheap ideas??????????

Styrofoam and wire is pretty cheap.

there is some good stuff there, I liked the one one increasing a laser's power.

you can do an external antenna. i used this at my old place to "borrow" wifi and it works pretty good. you can also put a repeater to it and have it in the whole house.
