Because it looks friggen awesome when its all cleaned up. Got both the car and the truck washed and waxed today. If I could do this every month, I'd be doing alright.

because it drives moms crazy?

really though...who you choose to have wax your "truck" is your business...

):h

I like black trucks!):h Like a damn fool I have 2 of them and when they're both shined up they look great!..... for about 1/2 hour.):h
Looks great Nick!
Have you ever tried Turtlewax Ice. It's the best on the plastic stuff as well as the paint. Shines like a baby's ass!

Oh... need more lights, I think!;)

Looks great. I've been trying for about 8 years to find the time to wax my black truck. Hasn't happened yet. I used to be real good about waxing. I did buff out the hood with polishing and rubbing compound this summer, it looked new for a week then the stuff dried in all these microscopic cracks, looks weird now. Usually by the time I finish washing it I'm so discouraged by all the damage and rust I go inside and have a good cry ;>
My problem is I can't see spending the time waxing when I have rust and dents to fix... Been working on painting some replacement sheetmetal this summer, so hopefully I'll have the front at least done soon.

Hey Nick, I like the wheel and tire combo on that Crown, looks pretty sporty, like a Marauder or whatever they call the CV cars. Is there a name for them? Theres one around here, it is a Crown but looks just like a Marauder, has a console shift, leather and all the wheels and stuff like the Merc has.

Anyway, what were we talking about?

Black looks great but it's a bite to keep it that way, I now have another white truck which is tuff to shine, anyone have any suggestions?

Thats an LX Sport, which is actually a very nice car.

I just got some regular, run of the mill Mustang GT wheels and threw'em on. It gave it a whole different look.

Black? No thanks.

After 2 black GMC HD's, a Black Yukon XL, and the Black Denali XL for the wife, I made plenty sure that my present truck is Silver Birch. My new Chevy Express due in this week is also Silver Birch.

I do agree that black looks sharp all cleaned up, but you can pretty much take a crap on the hood of a Silver Birch and it'll still look clean.

IDK, maybe the age thing is settling in.....

Those wheels look awesome Nick! I hate to say anything nice about a Ford, particularly a Crown Vic, but that car is sweet.

I've had a ton of black trucks, only truck I've rebuilt that I ever had professionally painted I had done in white. At the time all the similar lifted Chevys around were black so I went with white just to be different. It looked great but not much shine, best part was it always looked clean no matter what, and if you leaned against it on a sunny day it wouldn't burn you.

Growing up my dads welding truck was black, learned to not like it real quick to keep it clean and then his next one was red, liked it about as well. Those who have them swear by them, I cant do that honestly so my truck is pewter so I like it.

I think Black will be my next color..Looks great Nick!
