Why I washed my truck

It'd been a year maybe. I figured if it wouldn't keep paint on, it didn't deserve a lot of cosmetic attention.

I was following a lawn service truck/trailer on the way to work. Rounding a corner, his load shifted and stuff came rolling off. I hit a one quart oil container with the left front tire that immediately exploded toward the front of the truck. I drove through an oil mist cloud that completely coated the truck. I was running late so it sat all day in the lot dropping a perimeter line of oil and baking into the paint.

The nice thing is that is softened the bugs on the front. It did take two washings to get it all off.

Sorry, no pictures. The gate guard asked me if I'd driven through a rain shower. It looked like a glazed donut. Picked up a remarkable amount of dust driving around.
