On the auction site, Item 140299623562

It seems like it is probably one of us. Bored out 6.2, lot of nice pieces... Any clue?

What a nice vehicle with all those mods..but where is the grille, there is none, what if a bird flies into it or rocks and crap there goes radiator.

reserve not met at $5300, which I woulnt sell it for that either, thats how much money that has been put into it in mods, and not long ago.

Im guessing fender cowl does nothing at high speed as air flows away from the fender some.

I know a flat fender hole would do nothing, but it looks like that scoop might catch some air. I dont know, maybe I'm wrong. It's pretty ugly hanging off the fender like that. And the grille looks terrible that way.
But once again, I am proven right when I said the late model pyt alloy wheels look perfect on an 8 lug older Sub.

It has one, it's just hardly noticeable because it is mesh. Seems like you may get better cooling that way.

oh yeah, I can see it now. still butt-ugly. and everybody going by on the road is going to think it's gone too. that would be the absolute first thing I'd change, and I mean right away, before I even drove it in daylight.

Speaking of grilles, I want to change my 93 to a 94-99 style, anybody know if it's a direct fit? I found one on CL, but the guy wants $75. I'd rather pay like $30 or $40. New non-chevy ones are only $70 on the Bay, of course I would want a bowtie on it.

I like the air scoop! Thats what I want to do.... wonder where he got one... ugly or not, must be effective...

I can picture my truck driving around with a dryer vent on the fender sticking out 4"... lol

I did a simular scoop on my old 96 a few years ago. The scoop was something I got at AutoZone or Ebay just a double side tape thing. Cut a hole and slap on the scoop.

Try looking at certifit.com. They have new grilles for around $55.00

I am surprised that it didn't go higher.

Truth is, the Avant engine, intercooler remote PMD, etc. means nothing to the guy looking for an older suburban that is focused mostly on cost.

Looks to me like its a scoop off of a boat used in reverse. It normaly mounts the other way round to draft gasses/fumes out of the bilge. Try a boat supply shop.

True enough. What would YOU pay for such a rig?
