which HID kit

I run 35 watt ones in EBAY projector housings. They work very well, and anymore light would blind the heck out of oncoming traffic. If I'm getting o nthe throttle or have alot of weight in the back, they blind drivers pretty bad now. Normal driving or towing with my hitch set right there fine. A 35 watt HID will put out morel ight than a 55 watt halogen provided you have the housings that will utilize them. Also going with 55 watters can result in the reflective back portion of your housings getting white washed quicker(the reflective chrome layer actually gets burned off). A 35 watt HID bulb in a proper HID housing will blow away a 55 watt HID in a halogen housing. And the euro lights are worst for oncoming drivers due to the glare they put out. I cannot stand having somebody with haogen euro housings with hID bulbs in them coming at me. And with HID's you get what you pay for. Buy a cheap kit and get poor light output. I run RETRO SOLUTIONS, but the morimoto's from retrofit source are said to be even better.

Don't be "that guy" and run 55w HID's in Bullshit Reflector Housings. 35w HID's are bright enough.

The ONLY way you can run 55w HID's and be respected, is if you Retro an ACTUAL OE PROJECTOR, FROM A VEHICLE THAT HAS OE HID's. Even then, it's not just drop the Kit in and you're done. You still have to do some mods to the Projector to CORRECTLY run 55w.

Thanks, thats what I was wanting to know.

I was actually leaning toward the 35 watt units because I was concerned about being too bright.

Ferminator, what housings are you running?

I was actually looking at them to use in my T-bird at the present time. Duct taping a pair of 6 cell maglights to the hood would be an improvement to the OEM lights. Unfortunately the only option for headlight housings for a '89 is OEM. Guess I'll look at the higher powered halogen bulbs.

I'm using a set of EBAY projector housings in my BURB. They aren't the best for HID lighting, but a whole lot better than the euro housings(AKA glare masters). If you can find clear euro headlights, then you can do your own swap over to a set of true HID projectors and have soem REALLY AWESOME light.

35w 6000k's goin in my cousins '13 k2500 today

Had to call the company, guy wasn't much help. Just said mess w/ it until it works. Ended up cutting soldering and heat shrinking the lows because the connectors were different than provided. Other than that no biggie.

Get the hi/lo kit, it has a reflector built in so the factory headlights work so much better. They should be 9004/7. The factory lights are so bad that these will work perfectly in the stock housing.
