Either 599 or 141 depending on build date...

Production date is 07/95 on the truck. does that help or do I need the prod date of the motor ?

If it's origanal it's either a 599 or 929, but most likely a 929. 141's came out into production on 01/96 IIRC and continued on until roughly 12/96 when the 506 squiter blocks started being cast..

so since my truck was bult 9/96 i dont have a 506 block i have 141 block. if this is true this is really good news

My 95 is a 141, original as far as I know, no record of a change with a VIN check.
Kenny, it's not hard to see the numbers on the drivers side with a flash light on the 95's.

Actually I jus realized I need to use my 2000 GMC since I will want the hub nut waterpump. That is a 506 right ?

IIRC mine was built in 6/95 and it is definately a 141 original block.....

well it was fruitless anyway. I was hoping I could get a custom built waterpump from Flowkooler with the Powerstroke flange already on it for that MGW setup. It's burned into my brain now. I really like it.
They don't make for the 6.5.
