Where is the temperature gauge sending unit on the 1996 K1500 6.5 diesel Suburban? H

It is on the front of the DS head, There is likely some ohm reading for different temps. I don't know what they are however. I have seen the ones for the sensor in the coolant crossover posted before.

Don't know the part no but it has a single pin.
The CTS on the water crossover is identical in looks but has 2 pins.

PS,maybe the wire broke.

How do you test it?

The temperature gauge quit working.

Just post almost the exact same thing as Leo in your other thread. An Idea go to auto parts and ohm one then yours. It will only tell you that temps ohm reading, but then you could heat some water and watch the meter.
