Im in need of some different tires on my 09 foreman and was wondering what are the pros and cons of running the same size tires all the way around.im really not worried about top speed just handiling.im looking at some maxxis bighorns or terracross's.the only thing i can see that would be affected would be steering but it has power steering so it shouldnt be that bad.anybody have any input on running all the same size instead of skinnies up front and bigger in the rear.o and ill be getting some itp 14in ss212 matte black rims also

thanks keith

If clearance and power are not an issue the only thing I can think of would be premature wear on the steering related parts and wheel bearings. I've rode with a couple of people that have done it but I dont know what problems they had.

The wider tires up front help with floating in water or "water wheelies" as they are known. Other than that, it's personal preference and what your bike will turn. A Foreman shouldn't have problems turning wide tires, but in mud everything changes. Skinny tires are fine for riding on dry ground, but if you get in slop with ruts, the wider tires will catch the sides of the rut also, but won't clean out easy. The skinny ones do clean out faster if they have slop above the mud. So in the end, if your bike will turn them, it's all down to personal preference and usage. If you wanna do water wheelies, I'd go with the wider ones all around. But for regular mud holes, I'd go with the skinny up front.

thanks, i eneded up with some itp rims and big horns.fat in the rear and skinny up front.we dont have much mud around here.

im sure these pics will be small and hard to see.........One day ill be able to post full size pics:thumbsup:

Keep us posted how those tires work. I've been wanting a set but they are pricey and Mud-Lites are cheap :rolleyes5:.

I really thought about getting some mst's but i dont really ride in mudd that often.i ride more steep and rocky terrain than anything else.So far they have worked really well on everthing ive rode threw.I wish i had got 12 in rims instead of 14 b/c i could have used the extra sidewall protection.i hear these bighorns wear well so hopefully i dont have to replace them anytime soon

Looks great. There are now a few different brands making the Bighorn style...check into those, probably a little cheaper. They do look like they'd wear great. Let us know if you find any mud and how they do in it. :D
