I'm thinking about getting rid of my 2 Sport Quads and get 1 New Utility Quad. I barely Ride them at all as it is, and they are taking up Space in the Garage. With a Sport Quad, all you can do is Ride them, you can't put them to Work like a Utility Quad. You can go out and Rip stuff up on a Utility Quad, but you can also put them to Work, by Plowing or Pulling a little Cart or Boat around the Yard.

Right off the Bat, the Can-Am is out. I'm not Spending that much on a Quad when I can get a CAR for the same Price.

It MUST be a 650cc or Bigger, Preferably Fuel Injected, 4wd, and easily Modifiable.

I'm thinking the Polaris Sportsman 850 XP (2 Dealers within 10 Miles, 1 that I know the Owners of VERY well) / Kawasaki Brute Force 750 / Suzuki King Quad 750. Kawi & Suz Dealers all over. I know the Kawi & Suz are basically the same Quad, so it's just a matter of Preference. IMO the Honda's are Overpriced for what they Offer. Yamaha's just look too Small when Side-By-Side to these other Quads.

So what do you all think?

why not go with the arctic cat diesel? even though those can ams are pretty expensive that 800ho renegade is pretty sharp.....best of both worlds...killer suspension and has the ability to be worked

I have an 02 Kawi 650 Prairie (Brute Force now). It's good, the v twin power is awesome, but the belt drive is noisy. I passed on the Polaris quads because of all of the grease fittings.

I have ridden all of them and I don't have any regrets about getting the Kawi. All of them are well built and will serve you well, it comes down to personal tastes IMHO.

No Arctic Car Dealers around. Closest one is up in CT. Don't really wanna have the Closest Dealer Out of State.

I love my Polaris. I only have the 500. If I ever do decide to get another one. I'm liking the 800EFI. I may look at a Honda this time though, my dad has had his foreman for about 13 years and not one problem.

O jeez, I just looked up Local Dealers for Can-Am and the Dealer that I know the People at very well, they Sell Can-Am as well.

...so maybe it won't be too far outta my Price Range now.

Hmmmm....

Buy whatever one is made in America or has the most American parts if possible :unitedstates:

I passed on the Polaris quads because of all of the grease fittings.

I know nothing about these things, but isnt having a bunch of grease fighting good? I know on Deeres EVERYTHING has a grease zerk and nothing has wore out, including wheel bearings

Polaris Sportsman or Yamaha Grizzly. My Grizzly is as much fun to ride as my YFZ 450. It flat out hauls ass and I can plow the driveway and spray the yard with it. I've also had fabulous experience with Polaris. The feedlot where I've worked since a teenager has had them all and Polaris held up the best.

After Looking around, I'm REALLY Leaning towards the Polaris Sportsman 850.

IMO it's the best Looking one out there, and has the most Power. A Friend of mine has a Sportsman 500 since '05 and hasn't had 1 problem with it, and he Wheels it pretty hard.

Hondas are bullet proof...

I have an old 86' fourtrax 125 that still runs without maintenance...

My 95 polaris sportsman 400 goes to the shop at least once a year... must be something with the two strokes carburetors ...I've tried stabil and every additive known to mankind...I can count on having the carb cleaned and rebuilt every year...the 4x4 button always quits... the bulb is the fuse for 4x4 the push button 4x4 on this particular model...it overheats when mudding...that radiator and fan arrangement is for crap...however... that being said...that bike as heavy as it is with the MudMachine BiClaws and triclaws is a beast that wont get stuck in the gumbo mud found down in these parts...

If I had it all to do over again I'd have a Honda though...

you think the sportsman looks better than the renegade?????

Kinda, the Renegade looks like it doesn't know what it wants to be, a Sport or Utility. But that is what it's made for, Dual Purpose, so I dunno. I do like the Quad Projectors up Front though.

But yea, out of all the Straight Utility Quads, the Sportsman looks the best.

But they are Overpriced for what they Offer IMO.

They look really Plain, they only have a 675cc Motor, but yet, they are just as much as a 750cc or 800cc.

Same with Honda Snowblowers. They are INCREDIBLY Over Priced.

Just get the Kawasaki Teryx and have the best of both worlds. It can be worked and you can have fun on it! I have pictures of mine in this section.

Those are way too big for the Trails around here by me. Would be Fun, but just wouldn't Fit.

I'm gonna have to really whip this Utility around when I get it. My Blaster I can Rip through the Trails because it's so Short (Length wise). Even with my 250R, it's too Long and I have Trouble sometimes in the Turns.

sorry...but you can't put a price on reliability... the money you save on the others will eventually be spent on repairs...but that's JMHO
