My rig has a CD player put into the center of the dash so I have the dead stock radio stuck in front of my face. I was just wondering if anyone had any good ideas for it. You could probably fit 2 gauges in the space. Im not sure its its possible but I was thinking a built in trailer brake controller. Or maybe one of those touch screen GPS receivers if it would fit.

I have the aftermarket radio too with the dead factory in the cluster. I think that you could probably fit almost anything that you suggested in there. I already have the A-pillar gauge cluster. I was thinking of building a catch all box to put in place of the factory radio myself.

If you guys are talking about the 88-94 years, you can get a CD holder (basically an empty box) that fits in where the factory AM/FM radio is. Most electronics stores *cough* Best Buy *cough* have them for about $20.

Hope this helps!

On my 93 gasser I put a trans temp gauge there, I got one of those 88-94 chevy truck radio pockets- $6.00 on the auction site. And epoxied the aluminum plate on the front of it with the gauge cutout in it. sorry pic sucks.

I installed one of them radio delete pockets on my 93, covered the front with a sheet of aluminum, attached with six screws. I installed my two coolant temp gauges(one for each head) and two LED's(for my two-speed)
