I got a new grill for my truck to replace the busted up grill. I need to find a new headlight. While I have it apart what should I fix or change while its easy to get to? The truck doesnt leak oil on the ground but it looks like the oil cooler line is or was leaking.

Check the adjusters on the remaining headlight. I've had to deal with adjusters that were frozen up and broken out of the plastic headlight base because some ham handed person in the past reefed on the adjusters trying to get them to move.

Also check the two long verticle pins that are sticking up right behind the lense. These pins thread into a knurled sleeve that is pressed into the headlight base and the same problem can be found with them. The removal of these pins allows the easy removal of the headlight lense, without removing the grill, to change headlight bulbs.

If you haven't cleaned the radiator you are part of the way into taking it out of the truck and you can get it hot tanked at a radiator place.

Not grill related, but I would change out that flat panel air box soon for the K47 cylinder with Amsoil EaA111 filter. And the OPS relay mod with WTS priming if you havent.

Thats the first thing I noticed. For the fix see here http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/sh...ler-fitting-allows-10-SS-hoses-and-OEM-cooler

Are you getting new or salvaged grill? A/C work? Condinser/VOV
What are the wire taps on pass side lights?
What is the switch looking thing on upper center firewall?

I have a grill off a 89 thats ready to go. The AC works great and the switch thing on the firewalls is a relay I put on the OPS. The switch also runs the lift pump so you can fill a new filter.

Im not sure what the deal is with those splices on the wires. Ill have to fix that. On the passenger side the wires for the dim bulb was cut off and spliced on the socket for the bright bulb. I know he had a brush guard up front with some offroad lights. Im wondering if he tried to wire them into the marker light with the splices.

I may replace both headlights If I can find a new or good used set for a decent price.

The radiator is only a few years old and I had it out of the truck last year so its good to go.

The stock airbox was a mouse house. Two times I checked and mice had chewed through the filter. I pulled the flexable duct off and that kept the mice away. I need to get a better filter setup.

Ive got the OPS relay mod but never heard of the WTS priming, thats a great idea. Ill have to work on that one of these days.
