hello all:

I'm planning on buying an 09 GMC 2500 diesel tomorrow. What kind of mileage can I expect?

Mikey.

Stock I would say your good for 17MPG in my opinion. All trucks are different though.

Welcome to the site! Post any questions you may have with your new purchase. :)

Welcome Mikey! Don't count on that 17 mpg until you're over about 12 to 15k on break in. More like 14-15 until then.

I had a good truck then. :D

I never saw MPG improvements as I got more miles, of course, I has tuned my truck at 3K, so it had a hard break-in.

The LMMs will only get around 12 - 14 mpg untill you get them broke in, usually somewhere around 10k miles or so.
Welcome aboard:beer:

Break it in like you're gonna drive it! :D
DP was full of noobs complaining about MPGs on the LMMs during break in when they first came out. They may still be for all I know. Haven't gone over there for months...

BTW... where'd he go?
