Just totaled up my MPG for the last 5 fills.

Seems my average is 13.4 MPG.

Not as good as I'd hoped. No real appreciable difference running 2 stroke, except for a little less noise.

But it is about 90% in town driving and with 4:11 gears on an auto....

That's about right for city driving. Just consider that with a 454 or 7.4 gasser, you'd be down below 8 mpg for the same rig.

Seems close. I routinely, and documented, AVERAGE 12.x and weigh 10klbs min.

Last highway run I didd was 15-16. But I always average 12.x a tank.

my c1500 is a bit lighter, I get a little better, maybe 15-16mpg in town and I accelerate too fast all the time. Getting it warm helps, in the 200F area, and when not running A/C its better too. Depending what your PCM program was, some tweaks may help.

What is your stock idle timing and does the timing progress with rpms or go down?

On average I don't do any better than that, last trip to Calgary was close to 17 ml/gal.90% hyway

My wife does way better with hers, she gets over 20.Better driver i guess.:)

Are you referring to the old school 454 when called a "454" before the new 7.4L metric name was given to it? :skep:
