IIRC, around 1990 (more or less) some US guys brought 20 H1 in China expecting to create a joint-venture with chinese manufacturer, as Chinese government was
looking for buying Hummers to GM.

If you hadn't left them there, there would not be a problem. At least no US servicemen were injured or left behind. They are interesting helicopters though. Actually, that's a mind set we need to get out of in this country.

We need to stop exporting raw resources and start exporting refined products (not just talking about oil either).

I agree, being from BC we export raw logs so they can be milled overseas. problem with oil is just try and get approval to build a new refinery here. the competition won't stand for it. they say we have enough refinery capacity. Plus, won't be long before they want to move a mountain so they can have our mines.
