So I figured I should share my water to air set up and I am also pondering a new turbo so I will list some of the specs of the turbos I am interested in and interested in but I may need some help filling in some missing specs. I'd also like to compare specs with the gm-8 so there is a good baseline turbo in there. I'm currently running the He351Ve.

First off my WTA from frozen boost. It was a reasonable price but at the time of install I didn't notice a huge increase in power or lower egts, probably because I had the boost set low. Or because there could still be air in the top of the inter cooler, so I may have to flip it 90* to make sure it stays full of antifreeze.

I know the hx35 & 40 have different housings and compressor wheels to choose from so I'll need to know the specs for the assortment of housings and wheels.

I tried a S200 Cat turbo identical to that one. It worked nice, and spooled at 1500 rpms. I tested drive psi with the waste gate blocked, and it stayed 1-1 up to 30 psi boost. But around 4000 rpms drive psi was 40 psi,and boost stopped at 30 psi.

Get a couple of temp probes to read before and after the water inter cooler. Then you will know how well it is working. You may need more water flow and an electric fan on the radiator side of that setup?

Yeah I have heard good things about that cat turbo, the only bad thing is the down pipe. Does it whistle like the hx turbos do?

I would have put a before/after temp gauge in but I'm cheap haha, I have it on a boch pump with the heat exchanger a few inches in front of the engines radiator. I would upload a picture of the heat exchanger but the file size is too large.

It whistled some, but made quit a bit less power than a hx52.

Nice setup indeed! And good thing about those CAT turbos is they have the 4" exhaust outlet, while a lot of your stock Holset turbos for the early Cummins have just 3" outlets. Have seen many an S200 under the hoods of plenty of trucks at work. Small CAT 3116, 3126, and C7 used them. Probably not a half bad choice if you are running in the 15-30 psi operating range.

Well I wont have room for a 4" down pipe so that doesn't matter too much. I forgot to mention what I am looking for. Something that spools well, and I will probably be seeing a peak of 15psi driving and 20-23psi towing
