Chek Glow plug system.
Thats a hot air intake, put K47 box back on it with an AEM element (on my site)
Waste gate is wired because someone riged it instead of fixing it. I bet there is a problem with vac pump/system?

Leroy has it perfect.

Forget wasting time on gp testing and wondering. Buy new Bosch duraterms 80034. Make sure a little antisieze on the threads when you put them in. They should stay on longer than that and not cycle like it is. If the new gp act like that then check out the gp relay and fuseable link wires from relay to plugs.

Buy 12" of clear 1/4" line, a 6" piece for each truck. Install it on the injector pump In place of the current hose. This is to watch for bubbles. Bubbles indicate sucking air into the fuel system which will cause hard starting and loss of power and mpg in diesels. It could be a combination of glow plug and air causing the hard start.
Do these before messing with air filter or turbo. Don't introduce new possibilities to the starting problem until it is solved.

Turbo will not effect starting problem. The turbo wired is a jury rig situation. Put a vacuum gauge on the vacuum pump and see if it is working at all. If so chase down the leak. There is a possibility the previous owner was tryin to hotrod for more power and just wired it, have you taken off he wire to see what happens?

The k47 filter box will do much better than how yours is set up, that set up is not feeding only cold air. Not related to starting problem, just loss of power and mpg.

Alright guys I know this is not on the topic but I don't knoe how to make a new topic on my phone. So I still have my 95 GMC 2500 4x4 I just bought some 35/12.5/16 mt tires and rims. I think I have to put a lift on my truck don't think I can just tighten torsion bars and add 2" blocks in rear. So can anyone lead me in the right direction for a lift kit I don't want to spend a arm and a leg but I do want to get my 35" tires on it please help.....

I used to run 33-12.50x16.5 on my K1500 and had a 3" body lift with the bars cranked up so far, I had almost no downward travel left. It was horrible. Yes, you're into a suspension lift, at the minimum to run your 35s on your K1500 chassis.

On edit - you bought rims. Those tires are about spent.

IMO, I would not worry about the tires till you can get that truck starting easier.

x3 on putting new Bosch Duraterm and go from there.

Also, test the fuel system.
Make sure LP is pumping.

Also, load test the batteries one at a time.
Just to make sure that they are not causing the issue.

By the way, if you take out that nice Turbo cover, we can probably see more parts.

JmJNet this is on my other 6.5 I have two of them the other on that had trouble starting has been down due to flex plate I believe but the lift is for this truck

WTS light should not flash like that.

You have a relay, wiring or glow plug issue.

Any 6.5 will start hard like that if the glow plug system is not up to snuff. Basically, you have to crank the engine until compression has produced enough heat to fire off the fuel.

Your turbo wastegate is jacked up. Likely because something has failed in the vacuum system. It could be solenoid, vacuum pump, vacuum pot on the turbo or the vacuum lines are old and cracked.

What someone has done is wire the wastegate closed so the turbo will build boost. The wastgate is closed when the lever is in the full up position. Your options are find and fix the problem in the vac system or remove it all and install a "turbo master" mechanical wastegate control. Basically, a spring. You can buy them from heath diesel or you can google "DIY Turbo master".
