I had my truck out the highway tonight after having it aligned to make sure everything seemed alright. I noticed that there is a slight vibration felt in the steering wheel around 55 mph. This is the first time I've really had it out on the highway since having the tires put on so my question is do you think I could have thrown a weight or have a tire out of balance? The day after having the tired put on I found a weight laying in my driveway on the passenger side of the truck. Had both passenger side tires rebalanced but no the drivers side.

Also with the new tires on the truck seems to want to walk a little bit. I have 55 psi all the way around and I wonder if I have to high of pressure in the front. Do you think that I should lower it to say 50 or so? Tires are 285/75/16s on 16x8 wheels.

Try rotating them to see if its the tires or not? Thats what I would try first anyhow

Also check your sway bar links as i have noticed my truck had a strange vibration coming from the right front corner, and sure enought the sway bar bolt is busted and it looks to have been broke for years. . .

The wheel weight came from somewhere. ;)

I would re-balance all of the tires. Also, expect new tires to be a bit squirrely until they get a few hundred miles through them, with the associated heat and cool cycles.

Just to be sure, check your front hubs for bearing wear. I know well what that feels like. Even a little wear will shake the steering wheel, especially with new tires.

FRAMING

I believe GM calls the issue "framing". The rear end bounces a little bit before settling down. Maybe if you go a little faster or slower it may go away. Mine does the same thing.
