just wondering what everyone or anyone recommends for make of valves to re install in my motor. i have the one head off now and found two cracked exhaust valves. so my question: is there a brand out there that is worth spending the money on and also head bolts. i am debating weather or not to pull the other head just incase there are any valves on that side that could be damaged. thanks for any input!!!

I've heard of several exhaust valve probs but don't know of a good source. When I do my heads it will be with studs.

are studs the way to go??? dont most engines out there have studs opposed to bolts anyways??? much easier to line everything up...especially with the weight of these heads!!!

do ya know the cost of new head bolts??? there are 17 head bolts so finding a good price would be a bonus!!!

thats for the set on both sides??? thats not bad i guess.with all work and part this is not a inexpensive job.

Here's another on ebay item # 220566811271 approx. $152

I'm waiting on a reply from cnc motor sports to make sure the kit is for both heads. $122

The tty head bolts are very marginal in strength. They won't retain their torque with heat and vibration. According to Bill Heath the tty bolts are the leading cause of head gasket failure. Most of the 6.2 and 6.5 engines I've taken apart, the torque value varied widely because of bolt stretch. One I tested varied 50 ft lbs!
I won't use the tty bolts.
